Beach Center research associate Nina Zuna has been named one of the “Women of Distinction” at KU, an annual honor that recognizes the accomplishments of female faculty, staff, alumni and students.
Zuna, who completed her doctorate at KU in Special Education in August 2007, was cited for her work in disability advocacy and awareness. Zuna’s research interests include family quality of life, family-professional partnerships, family support and disability policy. She was one of 22 women honored for 2007-08 by the Women’s Resource Center.
